Travelling on Mull
Arriving on Mull you immediately feel you are in a very different place. The driving experience is that of a more leisured era – don’t worry when other drivers wave at you, it is meant to be a friendly gesture.
Turn right for the 35 minute drive to Tobermory. Buzzards stare down at you from telegraph poles and the ever changing Sound of Mull keeps you company on your right until after a tantalisingly fleeting view of the coloured houses of Tobermory, you descend a steep hill, pass the distillery and the bay opens out in front of you.
Driving On Mull (with a few hints courtesy of Cycle Mull)
Please note that most of our roads are single track with passing places. It is courteous (as well as a legal requirement) that slower traffic pull in to allow faster following traffic to overtake. The person behind may be a member of the emergency services on call.
Public Transport
Buses run between Tobermory and Craignure and Craignure to Fionnphort (for Iona). Most ferries are met by buses to Tobermory but not all so please check
