Your journey to Mull

Your journey to Mull

The journey is part of the adventure…

For many their holiday starts as they board the ferry in Oban then navigate the sound of Mull – whether the sun is shining on impossibly blue seas scattered with strangely shaped islands or Duart castle looms out of the swirling mist – the magic begins here.

Mull is the second largest island of the Inner Hebrides, and lies off the west coast of Scotland. Take a spectacular drive to the ferry port of Oban, allowing about two and a half hours from Glasgow by car. The ferry takes 45 minutes.

Oban – Craignure (Ferry timetables – winter/summer)

There are two other ferries to Mull, both involving another short ferry crossing at Corran, near Fort William and a drive through wild but stunning scenery.

Loch Aline – Fishnish (Ferry timetables – winter/summer)

Kilchoan – Tobermory (Ferry timetables – winter/summer)

Be warned it is avisable to book on the Oban ferry if travelling by car.
